The Need for Virtual Engagement

Hey, guys, it’s Anders here from Engagify. And we’ve had a lot of companies reaching out to us looking for ways to create customer engagement, to reach out to their prospects.

And of course, there’s no live, in-person events right now. So they’re looking for ideas. Now, what I want you to take away from this video, is that to create engagement, one must be engaging.

Okay, now I know they’re looking for, you know, different tactics and twists on traditional pieces. And I’m sure you’ve seen, you know, the videos on LinkedIn where people are reading from their computer on the webinar, a live stream. And it’s not exactly compelling content.

Okay, you know, we’re in the attention economy right now, except there are a number of companies out there who are not paying attention. There are billion dollar companies, who would never let a piece of collateral go out the door without its strictly adhering to the brand guidelines.

And yet they think nothing of letting their people sully their brand by doing subpar online presentations that are not quite ready for prime time. Now, I get it. The bar is low right now, a lot of people are working from home.

But for the companies who understand this, who embrace this new reality, they can raise the bar and get a leg up on their competition. And those same companies understand that they have to invest in making their people better, giving them the skills and knowledge necessary so that they can thrive in this attention economy.

Now, I believe the world needs engagement more now than ever before. And to create engagement between two parties, one always has to decide. It has to care enough to make the first move. So my only question now is, is it your move, and what are you going to do?
